My Two Favorite Cartoon’s

My Two Favorite Cartoon’s

Looking back at the video, “brief history of animation”, It was interesting see how we evolved from back then to the present and how a few things are actually similar as well. After thinking of that, I started to wonder about the many animation out there from shows to movies and how they are or what program they use for it. Let’s discuss it!

studio

Studio Ghibli is one of my all time favorites, Especially with each other their movies and how magical they are able to make them look which is completely awesome. I chose them because as a kid, I even watched almost all of their movies but my favorite from the rest is, “My Neighbor Totoro” This is because me and my sister both watched this as kids and we compared the girl’s to ourselves and we found Totoro very adorable.  The thing that I loved about the style of the animation is how smoothed I believe it to be and at certain points of the movies, the girl’s hair moves around because of the wind and I find that such attention to detail even if its just hair moving. What I like about the characters is how magical the creatures are and how well they bonded with the kids. For the kids, what I like about them is the way that they acted when it came into moving in a new a house, It made me think that they are appreciative of the things they have. Also, the kids have a strong bond together, Since the little one is attached to her older sister since they’ve been together with their dad while their mom was in the hospital. What I liked about the story/plot is how it’s based upon the imagination of the girls and it even focuses on the relationship of the family and how it’s well balanced out. Studio Ghibli uses the software, “Open toonz”

My second favorite is one that is called “beyond the boundary” I chose this because when I first watched the show, I fell in love with it then watched the movie which is this. I found the characters beautiful with an studio.2interesting plot as well. I loved how clear and smooth the animation was for this, lets say that there was wind, the trees around and the character’s hair would move, even their clothing. I loved the characters because of how much I can compare myself to the girl with pink hair. Also, how the character development grows throughout the show/movie and how stronger it got. I like how balanced I felt this was compared to any other, with relationship, character development, main point or story and how it gets across and builds up overtime. The software for the animation that was used was Kyoto animation.

Social Justice Topic

Social Justice Topic

Social justice, what is social justice?  It’s based on the concept of human rights and equality, and can be defined as “the way in which human rights are manifested in the Related imageeveryday lives of people at every level of society.” An example of social justice is someone fighting for any LGBTQ rights, or for racism, sexism, and many more. Its something that people fight for almost everyday through marches, posters, the news, ECT. Today in the foundation unit, we are getting the chance to focus on a social justice and fight about it.

The social justice topic that I chose is freedom of speech: Teenagers voice. I chose this topic because, I notice that many teenagers opinion never get heard because they often get shut out by adults because us teenagers are stuck with the stereotype that we are selfish or ignorant or that we are too young to understand these topics. I feel as if many of this opinions can help us settle a situation with either politics or anything that is Image result for having your voice heardconsidered for “only adults” with opinionated based things. Lets say voting with Trump and Hillary. Honestly many teens had a voice in which candidate was better for our country with a reasonable explanation. Not many of us actually are those stereotypical things, many know what there are talking about even if it’s just “adult things.”

A few places on where freedom of speech: teenagers voice may happen is at really bad schools, often at home, voting, an office (when a teen gets a chance to visit one), or even those people who call if the person is guilty or not during a trail. It’s something that Related imagesociety should change because it’s shutting down many possible great ideas that may be in the benefit of our future or in this case, a good future of the teenager. This can change the way that we may think allowing us to ask ourselves if their opinions even matter to the world or to the people. Which is a yes but often can be seen as a no. This can also affect the future to the teenagers of today.

I believe that if society was willing to make this change, I believe that many great ideas will start to show up or many great life changing things that is happening all around the world with the creative mind of a teenager. Or possibly, the first teenager to speak out about politics and what it may be doing wrong or right and what can be changed or kept the same about it. The voice of a teenager of whatever situation can be Related imagesuper strong and effective which is why the way that I will be showing this social justice is through a 12 x 18 poster with a drawing, shape, slogan, of what is supposed to represent my topic. I’ll be using magazines and cut out any color, shape, words, letter that I will need and stick it right onto the poster making sure that I use every little inch of that poster! The voice of a teenager is strong, let us change the view.

Elements Of Design

Elements Of Design

How would you describe the lines in any artwork? Do the shapes represent something specific? What emotion does the texture give you? Describe positive and negative space in artwork. What color is used the most in any artwork? The least? Why?

The way that I would describe any line in any artwork is a line completing the final product. Such as saying the line is what will continue the art piece. Also, a line can come in any form which will help change the affect of any art work. Shapes actually do represent and also help represent the art work because they are what make it as well. The color that is often used in many artwork is the color red. I think this is cause red has many definition which is mostly evil but can also be a peaceful state if its put correctly in the artwork. The color that I believe is used the least is the color brown. I believe this is cause many people see brown as an ugly color to use and not many would know how to use or combine any other color with that as well.

The Government’s Plan

The Government’s Plan

-The Government’s Plan-

It was around 4:23AM when Elizabeth was fast asleep as the silence around her filled the room. Although, it wasn’t silent for long – there was an explosion from about three miles away that can be heard from her house. She woke up scared breathing heavily. “What was that?” She asked herself before getting up.

She walked towards her window and all she could see was nothing out of the ordinary till from a very far distant, she saw smoke going into the sky and about a second after, a bright red fire blossomed from below and go into the sky as well.

“So I was right all along”

She glanced over to her wall where she has a bunch of papers and printed out photos of her theories against the government pinned against a board. Soon after, she went to her dressers and pulled out clothes as well as an old school bookbag. She went to her desk and cleared it out making it easier for her to grab certain things as she shoves them into her bag. She makes her way down the stairs and into her basement where there was a door leading to her father’s bunker to which, hasn’t been used in years. Elizabeth was never allowed to go in there, She was told by her mother that her father was always working except, that lie never worked. Elizabeth always knew or had an idea that there was something greater in there and she was right it wasn’t just some workplace, it was called a bunker for a reason.

Once she made her way inside, she went straight to the dresser to pull out a pistol and an AK to then going to a desk that was in the corner of the room where the ammo and a few med kits were at. She sighs heavily knowing that what she is about to do, is such a big life or death situation. Anything can happen with dangerous people on lose and with the army now out.

Elizabeth made her way back upstairs and walked past the living room and into the kitchen to get some food that was enough to maybe last her for a few weeks to a new month before she has to go looting herself. She reminded herself with the things that she would possibly need for the survival out in the world, where people are soon going to turn against each other all because of the government. She attempted to warn everyone except the only response that she would ever get back is people calling her crazy, a lier, psycho– It was so often that she even started to believe it.

After getting the needed supplies, she walks towards her front door hesitant to even open it but eventually does so. Of course, she looks left and right to see if the chaos around her had started, It was nothing but silence and fear. She continued to walk for maybe an hour or more as she slowly loses track of time. Everything would’ve been quicker if she would’ve took the car but that would’ve exposed her too much and she didn’t want to risk it. During her walk, all she could think about is her family. Her mother died due to brain cancer, the doctors said it was too late to even save her so she was left on the bed to die slowly. Of course it hurted but this only made Elizabeth more emotionally stronger. Her father left them both at an early age, not much to even say about him since there wasn’t many memories to share about him but all that she could recognize was his voice.

Another few hours go by, Elizabeth all of the sudden felt tension around a new area she encountered. She holds up her guard in case if someone is around, watching her. She hears rumbles in a nearby bush and immediately points her gun at it.

“Who goes there?! I’m not scared and I will shoot without hesitation.”

She slowly moves back in case she needs a long range shot for whatever is in the bush. It was in fact, a homeless dude, or for what it seemed like basing it off of his clothes. All of the sudden, he attacks her and pins her to the ground making her drop the gun, putting it a good few inches away from her. She struggles to get him off trying to punch or even kick him whenever she gets the chance. He has both her wrist pinned above of her head while with the other hand, he pulls out a small knife. He placed the knife near her stomach getting just about ready to stab her till he falls to the ground.

Elizabeth scooted back away from the man getting her gun back noticing that in his head, was an arrow. She wasn’t alone just yet so she begins to look around for anyone else when all she could see was darkness.

“Sorry for the trouble here.”

A female comes out from the trees holding a crossbow pointing it straight at Elizabeth. “Who are you and what are you doing here?!” The lady begins to walk straight at her. “Listen, I don’t want to start trouble. My name is Elizabeth and I just wanna get past this town, I’m on my way to Boston going to this bunker where it’s safe for people like us. If you trust me enough by just looks, I can take us both over there.”

The girl reached her hand out to Elizabeth in attempt to help her up.

“Sorry for the rude interruption, this is my hometown and since that explosion on the news everyone here turned crazy and just started to kill one another, loot stores– you know. At this point, you can’t even trust anyone you run into”

As she says that last line, she looks back at the homeless dude dead on the floor.

“My name is Audrey and say, this little boston trip of yours, I wouldn’t mind joining you. I don’t think staying here would benefit me either way” Elizabeth nodded and smile as a warm welcome to her journey.

Both girls made it far long in the trip killing anyone that attempts to attack them. Elizabeth was surprised at how well they work together as a team. Soon after, they reached a sign that said “Welcome To Boston” It brought joy to both of them after having restless nights. Though, through the journey, Elizabeth was able to learn a lot about Audrey. She was the same age as Elizabeth, 16, and she is a runaway from her parents for about 6 years of her life. Elizabeth was shocked to hear on how different their lives were but this difference caught her attention.

After hours of walking, talking, resting, and looting they came across a sign that lead to this bunker which was unusual since its suppose to be a “hidden bunker” They didn’t question it and just followed the sign. They approach the front gate seeing at the high tower on each side spotting snipers and soon after, the loud intercom turned on.

“Who are you and what do you want?!”

“Beth, I don’t trust this anymore” Audrey says. Elizabeth looked over at her trying to reassure her with looks.

“Uhh, Hi there.. My name is Elizabeth and this is Audrey… We heard about this bunker and that it was safe for people like us. We just reall–” Before even finishing the gates opened and the intercom went off again.

“Just come on, quickly now”

Audrey had the right to be worried about this place, by just the outside it looked as if this was a setup. Audrey noticed that there were only men as snipers and a man’s voice on the intercom, she knew that the army and government wanted to clear out humanity and start new except, in order to even start new, they’ll need both male and female…This bunker isn’t a safe place…it’s to kidnap women and men ain’t it?! Just as her thought finishes, the gates loudly closed behind her. The soldiers then surround both girl’s pointing high class gun’s at them telling them to drop their weapons and get on their knees. They do the following as Elizabeth started to then put the pieces together. The government himself came out and joined the rest of the guards. Elizabeth stared at him for a good solid minute feeling as if she knew him.

“Take them to cell number 7 and 8. If they try anything, shoot them no matter what”

The guards nodded as they pick up them up and drag them into the cells. They passed by multiple other cells and see a bunch of women and men scared or crying for their life. They were victims of this act as well.

She knew that voice, that same raspy voice that has been stuck with her since she was little.

“I thought you were dead! You left and this is what you do?!”

Elizabeth continues to yell and fuss in the hands of the guards as her father doesn’t give a care in the world. Elizabeth right about this whole mess, except now she has fallen into it herself.

X-acto Knife

1. What are x-acto knives used for?

X-acto knives are mainly used for precision cutting and crafting. Such examples would be cutting out a huge letter, or cutting through foam/paper

2. How do you hold an x-acto knife?

To hold an x-acto knife, you have to hold handle with a firm grip. The blade also has to be pointing away from you. You should also grip the collar with your thumb and index finger, and turn the knife counterclockwise when using it.

3. What other supplies do I need to have available when using an x-acto knife?

Any other supply that is need when using an x-acto knife is a cutting board to prevent any damages on any hardware around you which is like a “self-healing” board meaning, any cuts or damages on it wont take an affect on the board itself. You should also have a straightedge for precision.

4. What safety measures will you use to keep from cutting yourself?

When handling the blade or the knife itself you can’t really get cut but as long as you don’t drag the very sharp side of the blade, which is the shiny side so you’ll know where it is, the across your skin. There is also a cap that will prevent any harm.

Unit 4: Growth Mindset

Unit 4: Growth Mindset

1. Describe the criteria your advisory set for growth mindset.
2. Describe your favorite initiative and how you/your advisory demonstrated growth mindset.
3. Describe how you can use growth mindset outside of advisory.
4. Grade Yourself – What grade do you deserve on growth mindset for this unit? Explain why.

In unit 4, we focused on growth mindset which is us learning on how to communicate better but not only that, we also learned on how to develop and learn on ur mistakes or failures just so that we can get up ad keep trying. Though, we can’t just keep trying because there is a difference in just trying again and doing it with a growth mindset. If we try again in something, it should be because of us learning from the past and using that to help us improve.

The criteria that our advisory set for growth mindset was its something that we learn from our past to better improve ourselves which will even help us work better together as a team. The initiative that I enjoyed the most was when we played this game where, we had to step on our papers and create this road for us to go on and if nobody is stepping on it, “Its a lost of an opportunity” The papers were represented as things we have a chance in doing such as college credit classes and many others. It demonstrated growth mindset because of course we didn’t get it on the first try, except that didn’t mean that we quit and gave up. We did it again and from what happened last time that caused us to fail, we learned from it and use that information to work better as a team. The way that we can use growth mindset outside of school is when something bad happens within our life, either us not getting the job we wanted lets say, doesn’t mean for us to just give up on life. We are given opportunity in life and its out choice to take it or not and from there, we learn and we go. If I were to grade myself in growth mindset, I believe I’ve improved from way before cause I usually quit easily and think its the end of the world when its not, whatever I failed in I know that I can learn from and keep on going.

Video Game Physics 6.9: Acceleration

Video Game Physics 6.9: Acceleration

The lab-

The goal of the lab was to figure out how velocity changes when there is a simple force acting on an object.

Acceleration is the change in velocity per change in time.

This experiment was using a track and cart but instead of figuring out the position and time, we were figuring out the acceleration to then being able to make velocity change.  This lab is sorta similar to this recent lab I did with a track and a cart, this time we allowed the track to be a bit unbalance to allow gravity be the force to increase the velocity.

The four times that I had to calculate the velocity is the amount of seconds which were 1 through 4 seconds as well as in between such as 1.20 or 2.20.

Calculating Acceleration-

The equation that allows me to calculate acceleration in any situation is the change in velocity divided by the change in time.

When calculating 3 times, what I got was 1.0, 0.5, and 1.0.

The 3 acceleration were similar.

The average acceleration was 0.833cm/secs.

Claim #1-

When there was a simple force acting on an object, the velocity didn’t change much in the same amount or in other words, the acceleration was constant.

Making Predictions-

If the car accelerates 30 mph per seconds for 5 seconds, the care would increase by 150mph.

The equation that lets me calculate change in velocity on acceleration is, acceleration times change in time.

If the car was already going 100mph, the car would be going 250mph.

The equation that lets me calculate the final velocity is, start velocity plus the change in velocity.
