1. What are x-acto knives used for?
X-acto knives are mainly used for precision cutting and crafting. Such examples would be cutting out a huge letter, or cutting through foam/paper
2. How do you hold an x-acto knife?
To hold an x-acto knife, you have to hold handle with a firm grip. The blade also has to be pointing away from you. You should also grip the collar with your thumb and index finger, and turn the knife counterclockwise when using it.
3. What other supplies do I need to have available when using an x-acto knife?
Any other supply that is need when using an x-acto knife is a cutting board to prevent any damages on any hardware around you which is like a “self-healing” board meaning, any cuts or damages on it wont take an affect on the board itself. You should also have a straightedge for precision.
4. What safety measures will you use to keep from cutting yourself?
When handling the blade or the knife itself you can’t really get cut but as long as you don’t drag the very sharp side of the blade, which is the shiny side so you’ll know where it is, the across your skin. There is also a cap that will prevent any harm.
