Computer Infographic Commercial
In our most recent foundation’s class, we have been learning about computer science and we have been presented with the project of doing a infographic commercial. Before we get into that, allow me to show you the steps I’ve took with the 5D’s as well as a brief summary of this project, and a reflection for each of the 5D’s.
Discover stage-
In this discover stage, this is where the project all begins with the big questions because we don’t know the full steps on what we are gonna have to do. For this step, I was learning more about a computer and its history with its insides and how storage is taken and many more things. I then learn that we are going to have to do this commercial for any customer of our choice and from there on, that’s when even more questions kept rolling in because, we must know what our customer want’s and how to satisfy them.
What do I know about computers and computing? Well, What I know about computers and computing is that the very first computer was made in 1943 but the very first program 1843. Also that there are different types of computer which are supercomputer, mainframes, mini computer, personal computer. In the computer categories there were hardware and software. Hardware are input devices, output devices and storage devices. What did I need to know about computers and my buyer? What I need to know about computers is how do they work and function. As for my buyer I must know the things that will satisfy them. What are a few resources that I will be using to get my information from? The resources that I would be needing in order to get my information is a computer and my notebook, the buyers list, best buy, and powtoon.
Define Stage-
For this stage, this is where we knock out the big questions and know what is needed and what’s our max limit to this project and what is needed for our buyer satisfaction.
What is the problem? My problem is finding the best computer for the client that will fit them best and creating a powtoon commercial. What are the requirement’s? My problem is finding the best computer for the client that will fit them best and creating a powtoon commercial. What are the constraints? The computer and the tech company has to be an actual company. Who is our buyer and what do they need? Dr. Charles Lewis is my client and he is a doctor. What he needs is a 16gbs of RAM and 1tbs or more for storage space.
Design Stage-
This is challenging part where, I make my storyboard sketches and make two ideas on how I would want to make my commercial. I ended up going with my design number 2.
Develop Stage-
This is where I look over my design and see if there is anything that I can improve on or any problems I had while making my design. As well as, knowing what materials that I will be using.
A few needed materials that I would need for my design is a computer, our storyboard, powtoon, and our computers buyer list.A change that I could be making is, adding a graph comparing which computer is bought more or which has more useful things that maybe the other doesn’t. (This could be added to the pro’s and con’s part)
Deliver-
Finally, this is where I give my final product and hope for the best that its good.
Does my designs meet the requirements? Yes, my design did meet my requirement because I was able to find computers that did have the things that would satisfy my customer and was able to choose one of those computers that fit the exact requirements of my client. As well as the powtoon commercial, it did fit the requirements because it had the information that was needed and there was a story that was fully completed. Does it meet constraints? It did meet the constraints because I was able to find two computers that were from the website best buy that had the things that my buyer needed. What changes could you have made to improve your design? A few changes that I could’ve changed in my design is, make it a bit less wordy so that it has more of that visual effect instead. Also, maybe learn how to balance between creativity and plain. I feel as if some slide were too much or just plain or just too wordy and that’s something that I can and must work on.
